Day 8 - Boring Day

Since finding out that Karma is terminal I spent majority of my day cuddling her and kind of cat proofing our furniture. My husband and I decided we will schedule an appointment to get Ninja's blood work so we will know if he is also Positive for FIP (see previous blog for explanation).

For breakfast I had a bowl of rice crispies with milk, a 8-grain bagel with butter and a glass of water.

For lunch I fixed a sandwich and had some veggie chips (yum!)

Dinner time came and I wasn't very hungry but my husband still wanted to have our Mexican themed night. We fixed quesadillas, soft and hard tacos - I only ate the quesadilla. I can tell my stomach is shrinking because it isn't taking as much to fill me up.

My foot gave me a lot of trouble - I have been uncomfortable sleeping in that boot and end up taking it off midway through the night... which isn't helping me heal. The anti-inflammatory seems to provide a lot of relief though!

Well, it's actually Day 9 today and I need to get our stove area ready for them to install Stove Top Firestops. I'm not sure what that means, but I'm sure it will be better than what we have. Our apartments are owned by the same company of another complex that caught on fire and was destroyed about a month ago. It's nice to know they are working hard to update all the complexes! Makes me feel safe!!

Seriously...

So what's it been? 3 months since I've updated!?

Life is good :) Hectic and busy but I'm so used to it it's sad. I've been working in a new position with Lifetouch. I'm out of the studio and into the main ABM (Area Business Model). My title is Sales Support Specialist - Sports, Special Events & Seniors. What it means is I schedule, manage, cater to, and over see all the above mentioned areas of photography. The areas the Ohio ABM serves and oversees is Central Ohio, Cleveland Ohio, Canton Ohio and Erie Pennsylvania. And I absolutely love my job :) It has been trying now and then but I still go to work early every day with a smile on my face. There is a lot of trouble shooting to do and apparently I enjoy that. I also make some great contacts with the athletic directors, yearbook advisors, principals and etc. I work hand-in-hand with sales reps from each satellite - although most days they think I'm supposed to either do all or none of their work... but whatever. I still enjoy my job and the people I work for/with! (and no I'm not paid to say any of that nice stuff ;0))

This weekend is Labor Day so it's our annual father-daughter trip to Pickerington and Canal Winchester for their parades. Last year Ronda and Charles joined us and hopefully Ronda's health will hold out so they can both come again! Mom and Granpa always join us at the second parade to shorten a long day.

Church is about to come into full swing for me. I think I'm about to learn the power of the word "no" this fall. I'll be involved with the youth program "Close Encounters" like last year - this year I'll be with the high school ages. September 14th is the fall kickoff - I said I would devote the entire day to "hanging" with the band "Decyfer Down" and now that I've listened to a few of their songs and determined that you can understand what they sing - I'm kinda excited for it.

Charles and I are doing a series of short skits tomorrow for church. I've become involved in the church "drama club" and am currently involved with 2 dialogue/skits. Both come packed with a surprising/face-palm type message.

I'm looking forward to Sept. 21st. MY WHOLE FAMILY WILL BE IN TOWN :) Well, assuming Adam will come down from BG. Sean and Lars are flying in for about a week and we're going to all gather on Sunday the 21st to have family pictures taken. I'm still trying to work out the logisitics for that - as I have a photography background everyone puts the color choice, location, etc on me - and that's okay... just more planning. I'm hoping that my Aunt Suzy will be able to sneak over and if she can and Aunt LinDee (and family) can come over the same day we'll have close to 20 family members in our pictures!! I'm just going to be thrilled to have 4 generations from Granpa to Jacob and Josie in one picture!!

For today, I'm itching to go for a bike ride - but no one seems available to go until after the football game... of course... so in my old buckeye by birth falcon by choice fashions: GO BG!!!

Some days you just wake up and know you are truly blessed... I'm not sure why - at least I haven't had a great big sign of reasoning - but today seems to be one of them :)

Slacker...

I'm a slacker, it's true... but the first step in recovery is admitting your problem ;-)

Anyway, I'm still in the process of moving into my new apartment - which I LOVE! But I've still got some stuff at my parents to sort through and some boxes to finish unpacking at the apartment. Thanks to EVERYONE for helping me move - even if it was just carrying a couple pillows :)

I'm working in the studio full time as a Customer Service Rep... and I love it. But I'm going to try and get a promotion within the new ABM soon... I need to get my resume up-to-date ASAP!

Andrew and I have been going through a rough spot in our dating life lately... just trying to figure out what we both want out of the other person and how to find a balance w/o offending the other person. It's hard but I think we can work through it.

Adam had toe surgery last Thursday and seems to be doing well - he had an ingrown toenail taken care of and it looks better... minus the fact that there aren't sides to his toenail... but he seems to be walking much better now :)

Mom is working all the time but was able to go w/Dad, Adam and Gramma K to Illinois for the weekend to see Riley (my cousin) graduate from high school. They seemed to have had a nice weekend.

Dad's enjoying retirement more than i think should be legally allowed... but he's getting a lot done around the house and barn :)

I haven't heard much from Sean or Sharee lately - we're all crazy busy it seems. Josie's dance recital is coming up quickly... and Jacob might have to have his tonsils removed b/c he can't seem to fully shake strep throat.

That's the latest in my life! HOpe you're all doing well :-D

I will get the keys so I can move into my new apartment this Friday :-)

I work too much

So this weekend is the true test of endurance for me! Yesterday I worked in the studio from 9:30-5:30, got in my car and drove straight to Hilliard Heritage M.S. and photographed their homecoming until about 9:30... got home just after 10 and went straight to bed.

It's 7am and now I'm running out the door to be at St. Paul Catholic Church in Westerville by 7:30 to photograph 3 first communions back to back... not anticipating being done there until 4... have just enough time to eat lunch/dinner and then it's off to the Aladdin Shrine Temple to photograph Reynoldsburg's prom at 5:45 which I probably won't get home until 11:30/midnight...

I'm now done venting

But it's funny that even though I took TWO sick days I'm still going to have about 45 hours thanks to yesterday and today!!
